Jennifer Doyle, MS, CRC is currently serving as President for the New Jersey Chapter of NJRA. Jennifer has worked for the past 7 years with the NJ Department of Labor and has worked for the past two as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. Jennifer is a graduate of Rowan University where she majored in Communications and in 2007 she graduated with her Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She is also a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. Jennifer is currently taking classes at Camden County College with the hopes of becoming a certified interpreter for the Deaf. Jennifer will be starting her second year as a clinical supervisor for the Rehabilitation Counseling program at UMDNJ.

Amy M. Kaboski, MS, LRC, CRC, CPRP, NCC, DCC is currently employed as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with the NJ Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services in Neptune, NJ. She has served as Member-at-Large with NJRA for the past 3 years (2006-2008) and is presently serving as President-Elect. She is also currently serving as Member-at-Large for the Northeast Rehabilitation Association (2008-2009). She completed her graduate degree in Rehabilitation Counseling at UMDNJ and her undergraduate degree in Psychology & Psychiatric Rehabilitation at UMDNJ & Kean University. She is a Licensed Rehabilitation Counselor and a National Certified Counselor.

William F. Green, M.S., LRC, CRC, CSW, CPRP has over 39 years of experience in the behavioral health field. He was the Assistant Director for Vocational Rehabilitation Services at Philadelphia State Hospital for seventeen years; Director of Rehabilitation Services at TRIS, a community mental health center located in Stratford New Jersey, for three years; and Director of Acute Care Services at the Steininger Center, a community mental health center in Cherry Hill, New Jersey for ten years.

From 1996 through 2000, he was an Instructor at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey’s School of Health Related Professions, teaching in the graduate degree program in Psychiatric Rehabilitation. Since June of 1999, he has also been teaching in the Master of Science Degree Program in Rehabilitation Counseling, and was appointed to full-time Assistant Professor in May, 2000.

Courses that he has taught include: Foundations of Counseling; Theories of Counseling and Personality; Role of the Family in Rehabilitation; Community Counseling and Resources; Medical and Psychosocial Aspects of Disability; Group Counseling; Social and Cultural Diversity Issues in Counseling; Counseling Techniques I & II; Career Development Theory; Career Counseling and Consultation; and Practicum and Internship in Counseling.

Bill was the recipient of the UMDNJ “Excellence in Teaching” Award” in 2005. He also serves on several state-wide advisory boards, is the current Past-President of the New Jersey Chapter of the National Rehabilitation Association, and in 2006 was the recipient of this Board’s “Meritorious Service Award”. In October 2007, Governor Jon Corzine appointed Bill to the New Jersey State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Professional Counselor Examiners Committee, where he is the only rehabilitation counselor in the state to serve in this capacity. This Committee oversees the licensing of professional and rehabilitation counselors in New Jersey; reviews the content and duration of courses of study offered by colleges and universities for advanced degrees in counseling and rehabilitation counseling; and reviews ethical complaints directed toward licensed NJ counselors.

Bill received his Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, with a Specialization in Psychiatric Rehabilitation, from Boston University in 1986, and he has been a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor since 1975. He became a New Jersey Licensed Rehabilitation Counselor in 1999. He is also a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner, and a New Jersey Certified Social Worker.

Stacey Smith, MS, CRC has been working as a vocational rehabilitation counselor for NJ Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services for over 8 years. Prior to this, she has worked in community rehabilitation programs as a Vocational Evaluator. She has a MS degree in Rehabilitation Counseling form UMDNJ. In addition, Stacey is an Adjunct Instructor with the Rehabilitation Counseling program at UMDNJ, where she has taught courses in Tests and Assessments. She is a certified rehabilitation counselor and has provided clinical supervision to students in the Rehabilitation Counseling program.

Barbara A. Lee, MA has been a board member of the NJ Rehabilitation Association since 1996. She has served as Chapter President (2003), and Chapter Treasurer (2006-present). Barbara has served on the following committees: Newsletter, Fundraising, Program Planning, and Financial. She is also a board member of the Northeast Rehabilitation Association, serving as Member at Large (2008), and President-Elect (2009).

Barbara is currently employed as a Project Coordinator for the NJ Council on Developmental Disabilities. Prior to this she was employed with the NJ Division of Vocational Rehabilitation both as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor and Counseling Supervisor. Barbara received both a Bachelors degree in Psychology in 1992 and a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology in 1994 from Seton Hall University. She has also completed coursework in Psychiatric Rehabilitation at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.


Members at Large

Rebecca Shulman, MA, CRC, LRC is currently employed as Manager of Special Projects for Jewish Vocational Service (JVS) in East Orange. In that role, one of her responsibilities is to oversee the Agency’s job placement programs for individuals who have disabilities. Rebecca also works one-on-one with program participants who have disabilities to provide them with vocational counseling and assist them in reaching their employment goals. She also provides overall program management to the JVS home based employment program and the JVS Goodwill Career Center. The Career Center provides vocational evaluation, technology assessment and job placement assistance to individuals who are deaf or who have a hearing loss.

In January of 2007, Rebecca retired from the State of New Jersey’s Department of Labor and Workforce Development after a 33 year career with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS.) When she retired, Rebecca was Chief of Field Services responsible for the operation of DVRS offices in Essex, Union, Middlesex, Somerset, Hunterdon, Monmouth and Mercer Counties. Rebecca has a Masters degree in Counseling and Personnel Services and is a New Jersey Licensed and Nationally Certified Rehabilitation Counselor.

Lorrie Covolesky, MS, CRC began working in the field of Vocational Rehabilitation in 1996 at the Abilities Center of Southern NJ, Inc. serving as a Case Manager for individuals with a wide variety of disabilities. Lorrie completed a Masters of Rehabilitation Counseling degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2007 and obtained the Certified Rehabilitation Credential. She currently serves as a Clinical Team Manager at the Abilities Center and oversees the adult facility based services and the Vocational Evaluation services. Lorrie believes in the work she does each day and in the value of all people. She feels that rehabilitation professionals must constantly remain aware of what we can and should be doing to empower the individuals we serve to reach their highest potential.

Elizabeth Denham is the Senior Vice President of Program Operations at Community Quest, Inc. She is celebrating her 15th year of employment since joining Community Quest in 1994 in pursuit of a more rewarding career. Elizabeth oversees the CARF accredited vocational rehabilitation programs and residential operations in Southern New Jersey. She has been a member of the New Jersey Rehabilitation Association since 2001 and currently serves a as a member at large. She has served the Board in the past as secretary from 2003-2005 and as President in 2006. Elizabeth is also a member of the Association for Choices in Community Supports & Employment Services where she served as Secretary from 2002-2003. Elizabeth is s graduate of Widener University.

Joni Dolce, MS, CRC, CPRP is an Assistant Professor and Employment Consultant in the Integrated Employment Institute in the Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Counseling Professions at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where she provides training and technical assistance to providers, consumers, families and others to achieve employment outcomes. Joni has several years of experience working in Supported Employment services, providing both direct employment services and supervising Supported Employment staff. Her research interests include gaining a better understanding of employer perspectives regarding hiring and employing individuals with psychiatric disabilities. Joni has been a Board member for the NJ Rehabilitation Association since 2006.
