The Nomination Process
After reading the criteria for awards, choose a person or organization to nominate. Gather written information to substantiate the stated award criteriathis can include letters of support, copies of work, newspaper clippings and any other compelling information that the Awards Committee should evaluate.
Complete the Nomination Form and attach all information requested. Make three copies of the complete packet (the Nomination Form and all attachments) keep one for yourself and send the remaining two packets to NRA/NRA Awards, 633 South Washington St., Alexandria, VA 22314-4109.
Once we receive your nomination, it is forwarded to the NRA Awards Committee to be evaluated. If there is any missing information, you will be notified by fax, and you will have one week from the date of the fax for the information to be received by the Award Chair.
As the nominator, the Awards Chair will contact you by phone and mail about the status of your nomination six weeks before the awards presentation. If your nominee wins, you'll get to call them with the good news. And we hope you'll join us at the awards ceremony to receive recognition for your hard work.
