Transition Specialties Division (TRANSIT)



The Mission of the Transition Specialties Division of the National Rehabilitation Association is to advance effective transition practices that promote the employment and future independence of youth and young adults with disabilities by providing Vocational Rehabilitation training and continued educational opportunities to the professionals who work with transition aged youth.


To join the TRANSIT Division, you must be a member of the National Rehabilitation Association. Division fees are based on the level of membership and are valid for a 12-month term. 

Division Membership Fees:
  • Regular Membership: $40.00 
  • Student Membership: $10.00 
  • Consumer Membership: $10.00

Current Focus Items for Board:

  • Carryout Recommendations from Member Outreach
  • Provide more access to professional development opportunities for general membership – Offer multiple types Professional
  • Development Certificates to draw wider range.
  • Regular Contact – Email Blasts with info/resources
  • Advertise in other professional journals
  • Increase membership – minimum of 1 in every state
