The NRA holds two national conferences each year: our National Training Conference and our Government Affairs Disability Employment Summit.
Each year, our National Training Conference is held in a different location across the country. The conference gives you the opportunity to connect and network with your colleagues from around the country, hear from nationally recognized speakers, participate in specialty programs, learn about state-of-the-art rehabilitation practices, and hear about the most current legislation affecting the rehabilitation field. Please plan to attend and reconnect with your rehabilitation colleagues and keep our association strong and vibrant.
The NRA also hosts an annual Government Affairs Disability Employment Summit in the Washington D.C. area. At our Summit, you will be brought up-to-date on federal policy and legislation of direct importance to the rehabilitation profession. The Summit concludes with a day of education and advocacy on Capitol Hill. The day on Capitol Hill gives NRA members the chance to speak directly with our members of Congress about the importance of rehabilitation services to assist people with disabilities to attain employment. Our Government Affairs Disability Employment Summit gives us the opportunity to be a part of shaping rehabilitation policy at the national level—federal policy that has a direct bearing on programs at the local and state levels.
