Georgia CAP

The Georgia Client Assistance Program (CAP) is seeking a motivated and talented Counselor/Advocate to provide services to persons with disabilities who are seeking or receiving vocational rehabilitation services.  

The successful candidate will have

A current or recent counselor of a Vocational Rehabilitation Agency.

Master’s degree in counseling, rehabilitation counseling or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.  A CRC is preferred.

The ability to remain calm and respectful under pressure.

A skill for healing divisions and bringing people together.

The ability to relate to all kinds of people.

The ability to listen carefully and respectfully, to appreciate different perspectives and to find common ground.

A skill to analyze barriers to Vocational Rehabilitation find solutions.

The ability to manage a heavy workload and work closely with supervisor.

The ability to maintain detailed computer records.

The ability to travel to all parts of Georgia by personal car.

The ability to fly to conferences in other states.
